dabl Limited – Online System Security Statement

dabl Limited utilises some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available today. When you access the dabl system Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe and secure. In addition, the dabl system is hosted in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. dabl servers are constantly monitored and, in the event of any attempt to illegally access them, dabl Ltd. staff will be immediately alerted.

dabl Ltd. provides each user in your site with a unique username and password that must be entered each time the user logs on. Authorisation to users may be withdrawn, by request, at any time. For further protection, all authorisations are for fixed periods and renewals must be by request. The dabl system does not store any data or any information on any drive in your system, either by “cookies” or any other means, at any stage or for any period of time. Patient medical data will be completely inaccessible except to authorised users.

Authorised users from all sites using the dabl Shared Care module will have access to an Emergency Care Record (ECR) i.e. data relating to registration, allergy, medication and care providers of all registered patients. Access to all other medical data entered on your site to authorised users on other specified sites, participating in the shared care programme, may be provided, as required, on a patient-by-patient and site-by-site basis.

The data available for viewing, regardless of the source, depend entirely on the modules for which a site has a licence. In a Shared Care Environment, where permission is granted to view patient data entered on another site, only data permitted by the viewer’s site licence will be visible. Data relating to modules for which the viewer does not have a licence will not be shown. Nonetheless, all medication changes, whether entered directly or via another module, will be reflected in the ECR, e.g. for patients on anticoagulation treatment, their Warfarin medication details would always be listed whereas their INRs and other anticoagulation data would only be available to users with a licence for dabl Anticoagulant.
